Barratt Manchester’s Annual Golf Day raises over £16,500 for Francis House

On Friday 20th July this year we hosted our charity Golf Day and Sportsman’s Dinner in aid of Francis House, our chosen charity of the year.

72 golfers swung into action on the 18 hole golf course at Mere Golf and Country Club, with a total of 150 guests attending the evening dinner.

Sub-contractors, business partners and work colleagues contributed towards an impressive total of £16,510.74 which was presented by Finance Director Mike Cleary and Commercial Manager Matt Paul to Fund Raising Manager Peter Forster and Deputy CEI Rachael Taylor.

The charity golf day was just one of the many activities undertaken by divisional staff to raise money for Francis House. Over the course of the year, we’ve had our annual bottle raffle, Tony’s Tuck Box and our annual Golf Day, raising over £22,000 this year alone.

Neil Goodwin, Managing Director said, “We are very happy to be able to have run this fantastic event in aid of Francis House. The work and support they provide in the local community is so important, and we are proud to support them for the 3rd consecutive year.”

We’ve now raised over £75,000 for the last three years in aid of Francis House which is fantastic achievement for everyone.
