Northwich-based swimming club makes waves with our donation

Barratt donate £1010 to Northwich Centurions Swimming Club sales adviser from Carrie from Imperial Park with he children from the club

In July we donated £1,010 to a local swimming club, the Cheshire-based Northwich Centurions, to help fund their annual swimming gala.

Northwich Centurions are a swimming club that teaches its members to swim in an enjoyable, safe and caring environment, whilst providing an opportunity for them to reach their maximum potential, in line with their own individual aspirations.

The group trains at Northwich Memorial Court on Chester Way, which is near to our Imperial Park II development, located on Rosemary Drive.

With the help of the Barratt Manchester’s donation, the group will be able to host the gala and hire the swimming pool for the competition over the course of two weekends.

Simon Beckman, Communications Officer for Northwich Centurions, said: “We are delighted to have been successful with our application to the Barratt Legacy scheme and receive this generous donation from the developer.

“Our club is a friendly and welcoming group that prides itself on encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle for its members, whilst allowing children to work competitively and as a team.

“We’d like to thank Barratt Homes for their kind donation and for helping us to achieve our goals as a sports club to continue our ongoing success.”

Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Manchester, said: “It’s always a privilege to help community organisations and charities wherever we can as well as provide positive contributions to the surrounding areas of our developments.

“We are incredibly pleased to have supported Northwich Centurions in hosting their annual swimming gala and wish them every success in future competitions and events.”
